The story

Nuredduna was the Sybil of the tribe that inhabited the oaks of talayotic village of Ses Païsses, Artà (Mallorca).

One day came Melesigeni sailing from distant lands. He was captured by the tribe and chained in order to be offered as a sacrifice to the gods. Nuredduna could not understand a word Melesigeni said. However, his lyre’s music and his sincere eyes made her fall in love with him. She helped him to escape by taking him to the beach, but she would be sacrificed instead.

When Nuredduna died, it began to rain flames. All succumbed to fire, except Nuredduna’s soul, who sat on a rock with Melesigeni’s lyre in her arms.

The park

The itinerary of the park symbolizes the journey through life of Nuredduna.

The tour begins on the top of the high plateau, where lies the ancient talayotic village. It is protected by a wall that has an only gate. Following the road that descends, and as we move away, we have a lower perspective of the complex.

Halfway there we find a colored sand tapestry with a lyre's shape that is the materialization of Nuredduna's love for Melesigeni.

Next we discover a great cave with a staircase that disappears in the shadow. Inside there is an altar of sacrifices.

The road ends in a cliff, and descending a little stair, we arrive to the seashore and we see small boats sculptures, like the one Melesigeni used to escape.
